BERNARD LIONG IS THE BEST CONDUCTOR IN THE DIVISION

Thanks to the big effort put in by our English Panel and our participating pupils to place our team first among five primary schools in Sarikei division. Bernard Liong from Year 6 class was awarded the best conductor in the primary school category.

Sarikei Division Choral Speaking Competition, organized by Sarikei High School, took place on the 31 March 2011 in their new school hall. Five primary school teams and five secondary school teams were taking part in the competition. The five primary school teams were SJK Wah Man, SJK Kwang Chien, SK St. Anne, SK Methodist from Sarikei District and SK Sg. Kawi from Meradong District.

Our school team and SMK St. Anthony were selected to represent the Sarikei Division and will be taking part in the state level competition in Betong, sometime in May.

This will be the second time for us to reach state level. The last competition was held in Kuching in 2009. We captured third place. 2011 will be a better year for our team.
